Rosa Augustina-Willem Gradretian[a] (born 34 Lilies Edge 818) More commonly known by his nickname of Ambrose, is the reigning Grand Prince of Gradretain and a Candidate Royal of the Holy Kingdom of Ettianna and has been since 839.

Ambrose was born in Lilies Edge 818 at the Redhall Palace outside the City of Redhall. He is the eldest son of Grand Prince Rodinne IV and Şef, Duke of Rinso. Ambrose was born during the reign of his Grandparent, Grand Prince Theva III. By the right of his birth, he was first a Princely Lord, but later became the Prince Apparent upon the death of Grand Prince Theva III and the accension of his parent Rodinne IV in 824 at the age of six.

Ambrose is considered to be one of the richest people in the world, having expanded his families already considerable wealth; having founded the Ralari Ettian Company and the Princely Tobacco Company.

Early Life

Ambrose was born on 34 of Lilies Edge 818 at Redhall Palace during the Reign of his Grandparent,Theva III. he is the eldest surviving child of Rodinne IV , The Prince apparent of Gradretain, and their husband Şef, Duke of Rinso. Ambrose was named in honor of his paternal aunt, Rosa, Baroness of Tillan. He has two younger siblings, Patre and his sister Safra.

Ambrose spent much of his early childhood in the royal court of his godfather, Atrich XII where he was taught the Ulannise language, the language of his father and the court language of Gradretain. While he became fluent in both Ettian and Ulanisse, he began speaking in a Ulanisse accent rather than an Ettian one due to his growing up in the Ulanisse Courts, an accent he has retained through his whole life.

Upon the Death of Theva III, Ambrose was summoned back to Redhall Palace at the age of six, whereupon Rodinne was crowned Grand Prince of Gradretain at Redhall Palace in the year 824, making Ambrose next in line to the Throne.

Ambrose would continue his education at the Redhall Palace, his parents hiring the finest tutors from Atrichtanno. Ambrose's schooling would prove successful, having learned to read and write in both Ettian and Ulannise, he especially took to the arts in his tutorage, having learned to play harp and violin at the age of eleven, often preforming at private family dinners. Ambrose inherited a love of flowers from his Aunt Rosa, who would often take the young deer through tours in the royal gardens at Redhall. His Aunt had quite a love for foreign and exotic plants, having imported hundreads of types of flowers from the Ralari for display at the Royal Gardens. Ambrose would be noted for having an interest in all things exotic, especially things from the Etsteri Empire, an interest that he would later expand upon with his business ventures as an adult.

In the early 830s Atrich XII wrote to Rodinne IV, requesting that his nephew Séma be wed to Ambrose, to which Rodinne accepted, furthering the friendship bewteen the two realms. Ambrose would be against this marriage and pleaded with his parents that the marriage be called off. His parents resisted but eventually gave in, instead offering the hand of Patre in place of Ambrose. Atrich XII was displeased but relented, accepting the new marriage. In 834 Ambrose would meet with Athonne, the seventh child of an Ulanisse Baron. The two became quite close, eventually developing a secret romance between them. Athonne shared many of the same passions as Ambrose, particulary for Art; The two meeting at an art exhibition in Saint-Arlana where Athonne was displaying her latest paintings. In 837 at the age of nineteen Ambrose requested he be allowed to marry Athonne, Rodinne attempted to prevent the marriage but their Husband was able to convince them to allow the marriage.

A year later in 838 the two were wed in a grand ceremony at the Old Royal Hall, in a Traditional Ettian Marriage, a decision made by Rodinne in an effort to remind people of the Gradretains Ettian heritage which had been called in question. Both Ambrose and Athonne hated the ceremony[1], having found the Ceremonies "To be a most disagreeable affair, completely lacking in any tact, grace or beauty". Regardless ceremony went through and the two were wed on 9 Gildmorrow, 838. in honor of the marriage Şef gifted the couple matching Parures, containing fine silver jewelry decorated in pearls.

in 839, while on a trip to the Capital of Ettianna, Rodinne IV would fall deeply ill, dying mere months after their arrival to Xandria The news of the death made its way to Redhall palace a few days later, with preperations for the Coronation of Ambrose starting immediately. Later in 838 Ambrose would be Crowned Grand Prince of Gradretain.

The Lorem ipsum text is derived from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum. The physical source may have been the 1914 Loeb Classical Library edition of De finibus, where the Latin text, presented on the left-hand (even) pages, breaks off on page 34 with "Neque porro quisquam est qui do-" and continues on page 36 with "lorem ipsum ...," suggesting that the galley type of that page was mixed up to make the dummy text seen today.

Business career

The discovery of the text's origin is attributed to Richard McClintock, a Latin scholar at Hampden–Sydney College. McClintock connected Lorem ipsum to Cicero's writing sometime before 1982 by searching for recorded uses of the Latin word consectetur, which was rarely used in classical literature. McClintock first published his discovery in a 1994 letter to a Before & After magazine editor, contesting the editor's earlier claim that Lorem ipsum had no meaning.
